On a recent business trip to Florida, I saw the strangest thing in the pond behind the hotel. It looked like a snake would pop up out of the water, straight up, and then disappear again. I thought I was seeing things! I did some research and discovered that what I was seeing was an Ashwinga, a type of bird that spends a lot of time underwater, and then stands like this along the water to dry out his wings. I always love learning something new when I travel.
